Each night on the weekend there will be two bands, one at 8pm and one at 11pm.

The Seb Folvig Trio combines elements of genre conventions and improvisation to showcase a range of ideas and phrases and how these can often flow freely between each style of music. The trio is comprised of Seb Folvig on upright and electric basses, Aleks Folvig on guitar and Chris McGuinness-Terry on drums. For this gig the group will primarily use vocabulary stemming from jazz, groove and RnB
Electric keys, blasting sax, and a cosmic jazz-pop groove with a hint of gospel soul.
Since 2020, they’ve been a staple in Hobart’s live jazz scene with sets at MONA, Hot August Jazz, and regular shows at Ferntree Tavern and The Duke.

Jode Brewster is an emerging jazz musician from Hobart, who passionately embraces the jazz language; Drawing inspiration from legends like John Coltrane, Hank Mobley, and Joe Henderson.
Jode will be joined by some of Hobart’s finest, Dorian Clennett (guitar), Will Mooney (bass), and Riley Stansfield (drums)
Louise Denson Trio
In the company of Hamish Houston (bs) and Tom Robb (dr), Qld-based pianist
Louise Denson will offer a tasty menu of jazz standards and originals. She is an
accomplished pianist and composer. Her work features beautiful melodies, rich
harmony and happening grooves, reflecting her experience in jazz, classical,
Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music. She has released 6 CDs and received several
awards and composition commissions. Her work in the jazz and classical genres
has been recorded by both Australian and American artists, and she has
performed in Canada, USA, Europe, UK and across Australia
